About Us
Paige’s love of food is rooted in the timeless wisdom of grandmothers’ kitchens—where nothing was wasted, seasons were respected, flavours were nurtured with patience, and food was grown, gathered, and prepared with care. This is the approach she brings to her jams and jellies at Orchard House Preserves.
Her journey to Orchard House was not a straight line. After years working in museums and in education, Paige found herself drawn back to what had always brought her the greatest joy: food. Living abroad in the UK and Switzerland, along with her travels throughout Europe are a source of inspiration for her preserves.
Orchard House Preserves wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity and stewardship of Ina Proeber, who built and grew the orchard and farm for nearly thirty years as Sunshine Farm. Paige and her husband Richard are honoured to uphold her legacy of naturally grown fruit and preserves, and are excited to guide the orchard into its next chapter.
